Participate

To particpate in Pro-Life Memorial Day, there are some simple things you can do.

1) Register - We would like to keep track of who participates and where they are from. This demonstrates unity among event partcipants, and lets us know how much ground we cover and how many people actually participate. Do you plan to participate? If so, you can register here – all we'd like is your name and where you will be wearing your armband and/or T-shirt. Your e-mail, address and zip code are optional. With this information, we can keep you updated on future Pro-life Memorial Days and other pro-life events in which you might be interested in participating.

2) Promote - We need you to help make this event successful! Tell your friends and family about the event, and encourage them to participate and register as well. Visit our Promote the Day site to get some ideas on how you can get the word out about Pro-Life Memorial Day. On the Downloads page you will find a web banner to paste on web sites, an AIM buddy icon and a flyer to distribute.

3) Get stuff - Order your armband and/or T-shirt. If you can't afford or don't have time to get our armbands and/or T-shirts, make your own! Get a strip of black cloth or a black bandanna and tie it around your arm.  Get a shirt and write a pro-life message on it. It is never too late to get involved.

4) Get ready - Know why you are mourning the victims of abortion. Check out these web sites to educate yourself about the horrors of abortion. Order pamphlets from our online store. If you are planning a prayer event or vigil, make sure you have everything lined up and that you share your plan with all the participants.  If you are a public school student, be prepared, as you might be harassed by your school administrators for sharing the pro-life message. You have the right of free speech as long as you don't cause a disruption in the school process. Visit our page harassment page for more information.

5) Pray - As the day gets closer, pray for its success and for hearts to be ready on this day. You never know who you may run into. You may talk a mother out of aborting her child!

6) Do it! - On October 6, go out and do it! Trust that all your preparations and prayer will carry you through the day.
